About

My passions are art direction, character design, illustration, story, and collaboration. I love bringing ideas to life and creating connections with the audience!

My lifelong fascination with drawing started when I was old enough to hold a pencil. In school, I was always the kid who could draw the popular cartoon character (I was a bit of a Garfield specialist), and would race through tests so I could draw on the back of them.

After taking a few detours (one involved a math degree), in 2004, I started with Teletoon and Family Channel as an illustrator, animator, and motion designer. From there, I worked for Critical Mass as a motion designer on videos for Mercedes-BenzHyattUSAA and Dell. In 2008, I was hired by The Walt Disney Company to work on Club Penguin as an illustrator, and animator, and then moved to the Disney Interactive Brand Marketing team as an Art Director.

For Club Penguin, some of my favorite projects were with the Club Penguin sub-brands like PSA (Penguin Spy Agency), EPF (Elite Penguin Force), and Card-Jitsu, including the Card-Jitsu trading cards and the character designs for Card-Jitsu Snow - including Sensei's nefarious enemy, Tusk!

For the Disney Interactive Brand and Marketing group, some of my favorite projects were with Star Wars, Marvel, Crossy-Road, Disney Stickers, and more!

I love to stretch myself and hone my skills so I try to work with different people, disciplines, and styles. A few of my previous clients include: Saatchi & Saatchi, Kellogg’s, United Nations Association of Canada, Penguin Young Readers Group, American Cancer Society, Chuck Gammage Animation, the University of Oklahoma and Coelement. I'm currently working on my own creative projects and enjoy doing freelance work for a variety of industries.
